Florentia Village is committed to promoting the highest standards in sustainability.

We are a firm believer in sustainable fashion, where we work closely with our commercial partners to empower their own goals; likewise, sustainability is at the heart of our own approach to developing and operating our outlets.

Whether it is through the use of environmentally friendly building materials, or through nationwide sustainability programs at our outlets, we are committed to improving the impact that we, our partners and our customers have on the environment.

New Footsteps

Plastic Recycling Initiative

On Earth Day 2021, Florentia Village launched a sustainability initiative with B2B recycled polyester (rPET) specialist P.E.T. (Plastic Ecological Transformation), which will see plastic bottle waste collected from Florentia Village outlets repurposed into textiles for the fashion industry. This program will first launch in Shanghai, before gradually rolling out to all Florentia Village locations by year end. With this initiative, Florentia Village Shanghai plans to collect over 1,200kg of plastic waste from its malls, equivalent to more than 60,000 plastic bottles within the first year.

Eco-friendly Architecture

We are improving the sustainability of our shopping malls using more environmentally friendly construction materials, and designs that reduce the negative environmental impact that our malls have over the lifespan of their operation. Florentia Village Chongqing is the first of our malls to be closely designed around this eco-friendly architecture philosophy. Similar designs will be featured in Florentia Village’s upcoming pipeline of developments like Florentia Village Shanghai Phase II project.

Second Life Packing

In 2019, Florentia Village introduced sustainable packaging options on its ecommerce platform FVshop.com, to encourage the reusage of existing packaging for online orders. As an ongoing commitment, Florentia Village offers shopping incentives for shoppers opting to accept delivery with “Second Life Packaging”.
